We offer training for every type of license or rating you want. Refresher courses, Biennial Flight Reviews, and Introductory flight lessons too!
Private pilots receive training on small aircraft operation, navigation, aircraft maneuvers, cross-country flight planning and emergency procedures.
Commercial pilots are involved in unscheduled flight activities, such as aerial application, charter flights, and aerial tours.
It is a necessary pilot certification add-on for any aspiring pilot to advance to the airlines, or to increase their overall marketability in the aviation workforce.
An instrument rating is a logical and practical next step after acquiring a private pilot certificate.
Flight instructors develop curricula, instruct students in a classroom setting, conduct training flights, determine student proficiency, report on student progress and develop new teaching methods.

What is a private pilot certificate?
The private pilot certificate is usually the first rating that you will get as a new pilot. This certificate permits you to fly anywhere you like during the day or night in visual flight conditions (not in the clouds), and carry passengers. Private pilots are not permitted to charge for the service of flying, but you can fly for personal reasons or if the flight is incidental to your business.
What is required to get a private pilot certificate?
Because everyone is a unique individual, this answer is not always the same for everyone. The industry average for completion of a private pilot certificate is around 55 hours. Our skilled instructors will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary skills According to Federal Aviation Regulation 61.109.
The minimum time prescribed by the FAA for a private pilot certificate is 40 hours of logged flight time that of which at least 20 hours is flight training from an authorized instructor and 10 hours is solo flight experience. This flight instruction and solo time will include basic flight maneuvers, cross-country operations and experience and also night operations and experience.
The FAA mandates tests prior to solo, a formal knowledge test taken at an authorized facility and a practical test taken with the FAA or a FAA designated pilot examiner. You will also need to pass a medical test prior to solo. You should also expect to purchase items such as books, charts and equipment appropriate to a private pilot.
The Basic Requirements for obtaining a Private Pilot Certificate are as follows:
What is the instrument rating?
The instrument rating is a valuable addition to your pilot skills. Even if you never fly in the clouds, you will gain skill in controlling the aircraft, dealing with ATC and understanding more about the way aviation in controlled airspace works.
A prerequisite for the instrument rating is that you have at least a private pilot certificate or be concurrently applying for a private pilot certificate with 50 hours of cross country flight time as pilot in command. The cross country experience you acquired during your private pilot training while solo counts towards this requirement.
The minimum training time as specified by the FAA is 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time. 10 hours of this time can be accomplished in certain types of flight simulators. Your flight training will include things like instrument approaches, holding patterns and cross-country adventures.
What is a commercial pilot certificate?
The commercial pilot certificate is obtained after you have some experience as a pilot. This certificate allows you to be paid for the service of being a pilot when you are working for approved scheduled service carriers (part 121), on-demand carriers (part 135) and a few other services as allowed by regulations.
What is required to get a commercial pilot certificate?
It is typical of airplane pilots to acquire an instrument rating prior to the commercial pilot certificate but it is not required. Without an instrument rating commercial airplane pilots are limited to daytime operations and within 50 miles of their departure point.
The Basic Requirements for obtaining a Commercial Pilot Certificate are as follows:
What is a certified flight instructor?
